WHY do so many people wait until right before the deadline to enter a writing contest?
No matter what I do, I can’t get people to enter until the last day or two.
Oh, a few kind souls enter early.
Very few.
The rest of you wait – and make me nervous.

What most writers do is write something, and finally finish it. Next, they look around for a forum to place it and frequently, that is close to the deadline.

I think they think about writing for a looooong time and then see the deadline looming and go oh shit – and then write.
