danI said I’d share a few marketing secrets with you as we created and released and sold and marketed – continue to market – our scary anthology. This is the next installment.

In a FB author’s marketing group a few of us are in, people will get all excited about stuff I don’t.

Today I saw a post about a guy saying one of his books finally broke the Amazon top 100,000.

That’s good. I know some of my books aren’t there right now.

But it made me wonder where OUR book was.

Well, check it out. 14,041 in the paid Kindle store.

That means right now our little book is in the top 20,000 of all books being sold on Amazon

See, breaking the top 100,000 sounded like a big deal, didn’t it?

It’s all in the presentation.

“WE JUST BROKE THE TOP 20,000 books on all of Amazon guys!! we are 14,041 and headed to break into the top 10,000 of all Amazon! I need your help!”

Get the idea?

This is FREE info, and it’s real and it’s true – but if you don’t tell people they won’t know it’s a big deal.

Tell them

when they say thanks, reply “I’m so excited.”

THEN ask them to share it on the FB page.

Many will.

That’s a BIG multiplier, so ask them all.

  1. Everyone has done so well with this anthology, not just the fabulous stories but in pushing it up and up the charts. A big hug and cakes all round to everyone!

I keep dipping into our anthology to read as instinct takes me, some stories I’ve yet to get to but will, some I’ve read twice and one three or is it four times, each time I find more of the author’s mind, a complicated organ! Thing is, for me, this keeps the anthology alive in my mind, re-excites, and when I’m excited I talk … and tell even more folk of what it is we’ve done.

  3. it is all very exciting! I’ll never forget my fam’s reception when I made the “published book” announcement to them! And they live in Texas, Alabama, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, etc., and they’re all excited, too!! Lots of chatter going on in lots of places!
