I think it’s true. It’s about taking risks and doing things that are scary in the hopes of receiving a greater reward. Staying close to the trunk, so to speak, is safer but perhaps not as rewarding. On the other hand, being out on the limb means you’re more likely to fall.

There is fruit there, but only at the right time. If you go out there too early, all you get is a premature blossom and perhaps a handful of angry bee. Too late, and the fruit isn’t any good.
