Dan, I can only assume that one of my loyal readers had money to burn, and chose to hire you in an attempt to save the world from my atrocious writing. Still, I am honored you chose to ignore all the warning signs after reading my blog, and decided to follow me anyway. I always felt I would have to drop loaves to get someone of your writing prowess to follow my blog, as bread crumbs never seemed to work. So let me offer you my thanks, as a bribe is out of the questionβseeing as my bank account is empty. Seriously, thank you very much for following. :O)

Hi, Dan. Thanks for the follow. It’s good to meet you. I’m looking forward to reading more and curious about those angel stories. I’ve recently started heeding a call to paint angels.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Welcome JoAnne!
The Angel story is based on real events that happened to a real family. Because of that, it was a bit too long and a little less interesting than a normal book would be – because real life can be that way. So I worked with a friend to improve the tension in the story, and we did well on that, so now it’s time to do a final edit and let it loose.
It will probably need an angel painting for the rear cover…

By normal book, do you mean a novel? π Let me know what kind of Angel. I’d love to read it. joannesilvia@aol.com

By “normal” I probably mean commercially viable and engaging to a wide audience. Can’t tell you what kind of angel – that would ruin it!

Hi Dan, thanks for the follow! π I’m curious, how did you go about getting your books translated into other languages? It’s something I’d like to do some day, in the future.

Babelcube. It is fast and effective. It’s also easy, but don’t be fooled, it is work!

I looked up Babelcube, it’s sounds great. I am wondering, though, how do you make sure how acurate a tranlsation is to the original?

Hey Dan, thanks for becoming a follower of my new blog, crossedeyesanddottedtees.
So I read your little bio up above; does all your publishing activity mean you don’t need to have a day job? (Other than writing, I mean, of course!)
I definitely plan to read what you have to say on finding one’s voice… I think I have about 24 voices, so maybe I have to kind of corral them into one…? Let’s see, there’s the Smart Aleck, the Wistful One, the Documentarian… hmm… is it possible or even *desirable* to write with just one voice all the time? Or maybe I’m misunderstanding the concept. I will go and read your piece and then see…
Will get back to you later!

Welcome! I think a different voice is probably preferable for different types of stories, like a comedy would have a different voice from a murder mystery, but otherwise your voice is mainly what makes your writing uniquely you.

If it was easy to find, it wouldn’t be elusive, Inezzen! If you are on a computer, it’ll usually appears after the post and before the comments. On a phone, it may not appear at all because of the different service providers. If you still have trouble let me know and we’ll see if somebody has an idea how it works on your provider.
