Disagree. Strict adherence to the wrong outline also causes writers block. Prioritizing everything else in life causes writers block. Losing the joy in the process might be the biggest cause in my opinion.
Yep. That’s what happens when a retired public servant gets confronted by a statistic of any sort, it sets their minds off on all sorts of tangents.
My biggest danger when writing on my laptop and listening to my playlist is fighting off the sudden urge to good to You Tube and find a live version of the song being played….Not so much Writer’s Block as Writer’s Distraction….deadly I tell you.
I don’t have that much experience to say one way or the other. I don’t use an outline per se, but rather a bullet list of ideas that I want to cover, detail to be consistent and storyline for each chapter. I haven’t experienced writer’s block, just some days are less productive because of outside intervention.

Yeah, I don’t really get writers block. As in, I don’t suffer from it and I don’t understand how others do.

Disagree. I wrote my newest (first) book without an outline and let my characters lead where the story went.

Disagree. I sometimes feel more of a block when trying to do the outline. If I sit down & just write, the words flow much easier!
