I finished my third book in the Alex Price series this week, still lots to do but the writing is done and tonight I will be celebrating. On Monday, the work begins again with cover, blurb etc… but I’m feeling rather pleased with myself. Thanks for letting me share. 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend.

I should probably list mine:

On Friday we completed a week-long kids writing camp. We had a blast, doing hour-long writing sprints in the morning and afternoons, interspersed with movies (from books that became movies), fun activities like making potions and slime, magic wands, and creating games. I think all the kids had a good time (I know I did)!

This week, I finally gathered my courage and started an Email group on io groups.

I call it Freedom To Be Me, and it is a place for all to come together and talk about Books…Books…and More!

There will be newsletters, magazines, book reviews, tech talk, general BS discussions, and much much more.

If anyone would like to join, write me for the info.

Thanks Dan, this is great, and I loved that about the Writing Camp. I wanta to make slime!!!

Oh! Dan I agonized over whether to start an email group or not. First I had to find one that was accessible, so I could do it independently, because I already have to have help at times with my blog. Then I had to work up the nerve to start it, because I was scared no one would join, but they’re slowly trickling in, and it’s an exciting thing.

Reason I started it? Because someone on an email group got snarky with me and told me if I did not like how they did things to go make my own. So, I did. LOL!

It turns out, that getting pissed off, was just the motivation I needed to get me going.

It is a challenging thing, this writing world, and I know yall sighted folks have challenges aplenty, but the tech issue and what folks don’t know about what can and cannot be read by us, not to mention how fast that changes, and then there’s what I don’t know, Sheesh!

AWW but I love it all!

Thanks for being round to help someone like me learn a little more each day. 🙂

You are right, Dan! I didn’t say the king in question was alive 🙂 I was behind a petition protesting at the staging of Shaekspeare’s (false and defamatory) play, Richard III, in the very cathedral where he is buried. It is a great play, but inappropriate where the person it is about is supposed to be lying at rest. We Ricardians believe Richard was a good king and Shakespeare was writing in Tudor times – it was Tudor propaganda and has been the main reason Richard has had a bad reputation for the last 500+ years!

I finished novel 4, but know I have to go over the manuscript a million times, so I can’t report I’m all excited. I submitted a piece on the editing process I recently went through and it was accepted at Southern Writer’s Magazine, though it won’t come out for a LONG time because it’s best to wait until closer to book 3’s release date. Yesterday, I wrote another piece on Como, Mississippi to submit somewhere. I’m trying to cast a much wider net than I have, keep a few balls in the air, so to speak because my next book won’t be out until June of 2018!

Which is a great reason to write it down and brag about it!

To be honest, I didn’t think you guys would brag very much, being authors and all, but I’m very impressed with our initial segment of this series.

You work hard. You deserve a pat on the back once in a while.
