What’s a beta reader?

Well, it’s kind of a big deal. You get to read the whole book before everybody else and then tell me what you think. Also, you get to be one of the first people to post am honest review on Amazon.

I did a few posts on being a beta, so you can read more if you click HERE to learn more, but basically you’ll…

1. Read the finished story.
2. Give the author (me) feedback by email
3. Post a review on Amazon when the book releases.

That’s about it.

You can be as detailed as you want – or as succinct.

How many beta readers do I want?

Twenty. Maybe I’ll let a few more in if they’re friends. Use the Contact Me button right now to request an ARC (Advance Review copy). It’ll make you kind of a big deal.

What do I have to do?

You’ll have 2-4 weeks to read the book and let me know your thoughts by email. You can do that.

What’s the story about?

We’re going to work on the blurb while the betas are reading (it’s a funny book but it’s hard to be funny in a blurb), so here’s a short description.

Mike Torino is a normal hard working family man who loves his wife and would NEVER follow up on any of the flirtatious advances he gets from women on a daily basis. The moms at his daughter’s school, his lusty doctor, his randy neighbor, you name it – Mike was immune. To advance his career, he takes an assignment to Italy and brings his family, but after two weeks his wife is fighting with him, his daughter has developed a gelato addiction, and his Italian business partner is in the hospital with a heart attack. When the Mrs. leaves in a huff, Mike is trapped. He can’t go home to save his marriage without sacrificing his project and blowing his chance at a partnership with his company, but if he stays to complete the work, he may lose his wife and family.

His Italian partner assigns Mike a top notch assistant – a beautiful young woman who has ideas of her own about what Mike needs to focus on in Italy, namely her. With his wife continuing to make problems, the normally-immune Mike finds himself tempted. But is the beautiful Julietta worth the risk?

The romance of Tuscany is the backdrop for a madcap comedy that will make you laugh and cry while tugging at your heart strings.

I’m going to launch Poggibonsi  then start looking for betas for my paranormal mystery An Angel On Her Shoulder and launch it, then edit and launch The Water Castle, my fantasy romance (we’ll need betas for that, too). All three should come out this year.
