I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet here in the good ol’ U S and A (The Canadians already had their Thanksgiving. They already got stuffed with turkey!! And the leftovers are a long gone memory – and we haven’t even started our Thanksgiving yet! Damn them! DAMN THEM!!)
Okay, where was I?
Oh yeah. AMERICAN Thanksgiving. The REAL Thanksgiving.
So, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but… let’s think about Christmas for a sec.
Did you know the original movie Diehard was set at Christmas time?
That makes it a Christmas movie!
I think The Catcher In The Rye also took place during Christmas break. Maybe not. Holden Caulfield may have been getting expelled.
The point is, you now need to think of a story that takes place at Christmas time that we wouldn’t normally think of as a Christmas story and post it in the comments below!
Have at it!
How many are there?
(This is probably blasphemous to do at Christmastime, so we’re doing it now – nice and safe, and not too close to the one true and official Thanksgiving. Ours.)
Ho, ho, ho! Or, gobble gobble. Hell, we’re still finishing trick or treat candy over here.

(Thanksgiving, must be driving UK retailers crazy; they can’t import it as they did with Halloween)

One day they will find a way.
(I recall our Postal Services tried it one year by suggesting we could send monetary gifts through their international transfer system. This would be to our friends and relatives in the USA…just in time for Thanksgiving; in didn’t catch on)
