Haha! Yes actually the sad part was that I spent most of the time staring at this British comedian because I recognised him and was trying to work out who he was. I only realised once he’d walked out!!
I met Tom Hanks. He was filming ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ at a venue in Orlando and my company was conducting a conference there the next day. We wanted to look at the main room for planning purposes and his production company let us do it during a break. He was sitting in a chair. He was smaller than he looks on screen and very polite. He said, “We will make sure we get out of your way in time.”
I once had lunch in Sian Phillips’ house (she was the actress who played Livia in the BBC Series, ‘I Claudius’ and was once married to Peter O’Toole). It was weird because I was supposed to be having lunch with a friend, but he had omitted to tell me he was her lodger, so I was completely shocked when she opened the door! So I was in her house for about two hours and she was terribly nice, very beautiful and tiny!

I shook Tony Blair’s hand once (It was 1997, and I hysterically was glad to be shot of the previous government); didn’t seem to improve him though.
